In commemoration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month in the month of May, a month-long poster competition for MCPS students was conducted. Asian Pacific American Student Achievement Action Group (APASAAG), a parent advisory group to MCPS is a sponsor of this event, IAA as co-sponsor along with a few other AAPI organizations.
Winners will receive monetary awards $100/first place, $75/2nd place, and $50/third place) and certificates. Students whose work is recognized with Honorable Mention will receive a certificate. The winners are announced today in an award ceremony over Zoom.
