2020 AAUC National Leadership Conference Forum

Indonesian Americans are not as well known here like their more established immigrant counterparts who have settled in here for decades – even centuries!

Indonesian Americans are not as well known here like their more established immigrant counterparts who have settled in here for decades – even centuries! Our history and impact on this amazing American tapestry has only just begun. We field questions inquiring about our background on a daily basis. Our youth then ask themselves, “who am I?” as they try to reconcile the two cultures coursing through their veins. Our communities subsequently ask, “who are WE?” as they attempt to navigate the American landscapes as a newer immigrant community. We feel addressing and understanding these questions are an essential part of the immigrant journey and of laying the foundations of our roots down for the next generations.

Join us at Asian American Unity Coalition – National Conference Leadership Forum, a FREE week-long online conference with the topic of “We are DIVERSE, We are COMPASSIONATE, We are EMPOWERED, and We are the FUTURE”, from Sept 12-20, 2020.

The Indonesian American is proud to be participating first time in the AAUC NCLF session. The community will be having our own session on Sunday, Sep 13, at 5-6pm EDT. The panelists are Amang Sukasih (Chairman of the Board, IMAAM), Ketut Ika Inggas (Banjar Bali USA), and Nadia Syahmalina (Board Member, IAA).

Please register and show that Indonesian Americans are here to stay and be part of the larger Asian American Unity Coalition.
