Primary Election Day in Maryland

Tuesday, July 19 is the Primary Election Day in Maryland.  Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

To find your polling place by your address: go to https://voterservices.elections.maryland.gov/PollingPlaceSearch. Your polling location is also on the back of your voting guide sent by the Board of Elections.

IMAAM Center at 9100 Georgia Ave is one of polling sites.

Today is also the last day to drop off your mail-in ballot.

If you ordered a mail-in ballot and have not received it, you can vote on election day at your precinct; you will be given a provisional ballot.  Provisional ballots will be counted after Election Day once they confirm that you did not also use your mail-in ballot.

As required by State law, the counting of mail-in ballots and provisional ballots will not begin until Thursday, July 21.

To find a drop box location for your mail-in ballot, go here https://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/Elections/dropbox.html, or

text the word “Box” and your zip code to 77788. You will get the 4 closest drop box locations.

Ballots must be in the drop box by 8 pm tomorrow (Tuesday, July 19)

All ballots returned by mail must be postmarked by tomorrow, July 19. If you are putting your mail-in ballot in a US mailbox– please check the last pickup time noted on the mailbox. If you drop it off after the last pickup at that box, it will likely not be postmarked on July 19. The Board of Elections strongly recommends that if you are taking your ballot to a post office tomorrow, enter the facility and have the attendant stamp the envelope with the date -July 19. Post offices generally close at 5 p.m.
