Indonesian American Center
The Indonesian Community in DMV has long dreamed of having our own community center for many purposes. With over 30 ethnic and social groups in the community from large to small, every now and then one of them always need a place for gathering, whether it’s for birthday, wedding, religious gathering, social gathering, and many other. Not to mention regular cultural practices before they do some performances.
With many Indonesians like to cook and no Indonesian restaurant in the area, it’s an opportunity to promote Indonesian culinary. Some vendors are already doing home catering, delivery, or food truck.
The Embassy of Indonesia is in full support of this initiative and IAA organized a meeting with community leaders to convey the idea again and to show the result of recently launched survey about the community.
